This morning I woke up extremely stuffy. You know, when one nostril is completely plugged up and the other is squeaking/whistling? And no matter how many times you try to blow your nose nothing alleviates the congestion?? That's what I had. And it was annoying as hell. And being pregnant I'm a freak about taking any sort of cold medicine. Actually any medicine besides my prenatals. So I put a few drops of Breathe essential oil in the bottom of the shower and also a drop in my hands and inhaled. Took a nice long shower and was sure to breathe deep and take in what may be one of the last few relaxing showers I have left before baby boy arrives. I immediately started to feel congestion relief and by the time I wrapped up my shower time I could breathe again. With BOTH nostrils. And actually for the duration of the day I felt fine. Just as a precaution I'm diffusing a few drops more of breathe in the bedroom tonight. Fighting a cold at 37 weeks is one of the last things I'd like to do. If you are pregnant and fighting a cold 1) I'm sending you warm and healing thoughts because I'm sure it sucks 2) try essential oils. An all natural option to help you feel better immediately. Why wouldn't you try it? Do away with harsh chemical medicines. Your body and your baby will be better for it. I promise you.

Novembers LRP Order
This has been my most exciting doTERRA order to date! Let me tell you why:
-I focused on MY needs
-I was able to get some holiday shopping done (okay, so I thought of others too ;))
-I cashed in just under $200 worth of FREE product points that I have accrued over just a few months simply by enrolling in the Loyalty Rewards Program.
Here's what I ordered and what it's good for:
On Guard cleaner concentrate: well I'll state the obvious first, it's a cleaner. And we have a very tidy house and wipe down surfaces on a borderline OCD basis. Up until now we have been using harsh chemical cleaners and buy many, many spray bottles at a time, goodbye $$. This cleaner concentrate is a perfect replacement. Combine only TWO table spoons per 24 oz. of water to create your own cleaning spray. This specialized formula is derived from plant-based ingredients, with dōTERRA On Guard essential oil, for exceptional cleaning power and natural protection. Because it is non-toxic and biodegradable, it is friendly for the whole family as well as the environment. Since we have a little one arriving in under one month I am choosing a healthier and safer option for cleaning our home.
DōTERRA detoxifying mud masks: I ordered two of these last month. One is gone just from people wanting to sample and the other one is ALL MINE. So I bought another one for sampling purposes and the second one for a certain family member for Christmas. The Mud Mask is a natural clay mask that provides purifying and detoxifying benefits while reducing the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. And it smells a-ma-zing.
Fractionated coconut oil:
I've been creating a lot of my own roller bottle recipes for certain things lately and was in need of some more. I'll post those recipes soon. dōTERRA®'s Fractionated Coconut Oil is an all-natural carrier oil that readily absorbs into the skin making it an ideal oil for topical therapies. Its feather-light emollient effect provides a soothing barrier without clogging pores and is excellent for dry or troubled skin. It leaves skin feeling silky smooth, not greasy like other vegetable carrier oils.
Serenity Restful Complex Softgels:
Almost ALWAYS when I'm talking to women about essential oils and how I use them and their benefits the husband chimes in with "do you have anything that can help me sleep?"... YUP. These bad boys.
dōTERRA Serenity Restful Complex is a unique combination of Lavender essential oil and natural plant extracts in a vegetarian softgel to help you get the refreshing sleep you need without leaving you feeling groggy and sleepy the next day.
Lip Balm Trio: Because we are moving into winter and I am a chapstick/lip balm maniac/pack rat. dōTERRA SPA Lip Balm is a natural formula containing plant oils, botanicals, and essential oils to hydrate and soothe lips while delivering the unique scent and taste of essential oils.
Cassia essential oil: I mainly got this because I saw a diffuser blend called "oatmeal cookies" that had this oil in it and I didn't have it yet. This oil also promotes healthy digestion, Supports healthy immune function and as a Warming, uplifting aroma.
Breathe Blend: I go through this oil rather quickly. When the sniffles hit me or a cough or even the slightest hint of any cold or seasonal bug I immediately turn to my breathe oil. I compare it to Vicks vapor rub. Except an all natural, liquid version that doesn't give you nightmares of your mother smothering you in it when you were little. Enhanced with the powerful respiratory benefits of Cardamom, doTERRA Breathe™ is a remarkable blend of essential oils that promotes feelings of clear airways and easy breathing. This proprietary blend helps minimize the effects of seasonal threats and can be applied topically or diffused at nighttime, allowing for a restful sleep.
Lavender essential oil: I have one of these in almost every one of my monthly orders. The benefits of lavender are endless. And it's a huge part of my bedtime routine. I put a few drops in the base of the shower before getting in, it really helps to relax my mind and body and slow my brain down allowing a restful nights sleep. Lavender helps with everything from blisters, anxiety, burns, concentration, to fever, mood swings, teething pain in littles and even stretch marks.
Vetiver essential oil: This is another one I didn't already have in my collection and heard nothing but fabulous things over and over. So of course I had to get it. Properties of this oil include-Antiseptic, antispasmodic, calming, grounding, immune stimulant, rubefacient (locally warming), sedative (nervous system), stimulant (circulatory, production of red corpuscles).Vetiver may help acne, anorexia, anxiety, arthritis, breasts (enlarge), cuts, depression (including postpartum), insomnia, muscular rheumatism, nervousness (extreme), skin care (oily, aging, tired, irritated), sprains, stress, and tuberculosis.
Fennel essential oil: I bought this oil to help with breast feeding as I hope to do so for my son when he arrives. A few drops in a roller bottle topped off with fractionated coconut oil applied to the breast (but not the nipple) a few times a day for 2-3 days should boost your milk production. This is to be used on occasion and not consistently. You can also take fennel internally. However, I had no idea what to expect as far as smell... and it smells like black licorice to me. Fennel has been used for centuries for its many health benefits. Fennel essential oil is often used to relieve occasional indigestion, and to support the healthy functions of the stomach.
And FOUR bottles of Holiday Joy essential oil: yippee!!! This is part of dōTERRA's holiday collection and they have a limit of four bottles per account. So I maxed out. It's Christmas in a bottle and I'm keeping one for myself and gifting the three others. Even though I selfishly want to keep them all. With the traditional holiday scents of Wild Orange, nutmeg, pine, Cassia, Cinnamon Bark, and vanilla. Fill your home with memories as you tantalize your senses with the inviting fragrances of the season, embracing all who gather with the warmth of the holidays. There seriously isn't a cozier oil blend than this one.
And that's a wrap!!
And because of my loyalty rewards I paid for my lip balm trio and my four bottles of Holiday Joy essential oil and received the rest FOR FREE. This is THE best reward system and I can't wait to dig into these new oils and products.
